Poiana Brasov, located nine miles southwest of Brasov, is Romania's leading ski resort. There are seven ski slopes and twelve runs in the resort area, located on Postavarul Mountain. The charming cable car dates from the 1950s when Poiana Brasov was developed into the resort area we know today. Accommodations range from luxury chalets and resort hotels to cozy villas and cottages.
