Staying in the town of Puerto Natales offers a wide variety of accommodations that vary from luxury to basic. There are upscale hotels, hostels, bed and breakfasts, and unique boutique hotels to choose from many centered around Plaza de Armas which is set in the heart of town, and Avenida Santiago Bueras. There are a lot of restaurants, shops, and places of interest found in the center of town. Puerto Natales is a charming quaint town with authentic architecture nestled on the shores of Ultima Esperanza Sound featuring a grid of streets. Being centrally located in town allows visitors to have access to a good selection of accommodations, dining options, and entertainment. 

Outskirts

Staying on the outskirts of Puerto Natales puts visitors in an even more remote region among nature with breathtaking views including the area’s snow-capped mountains. A few of the areas outside of town include Ether Aike Artisanal Town which is a quaint craft village, Dorotea Peak which is set among a lush verdant forest area, Sofia Lagoon which allows visitors access to the waters for kayaking and other water sports, and Pampas or Estancias which are large farms set in the scenic countryside. Accommodations on the outskirts can include some smaller hotels, many hostels, charming bed and breakfasts, cozy cabins and chalets, and some luxury villas. Staying outside of town puts visitors closer to the bigger attractions of the region as well as in a quieter more laid-back area.
