Encarnacion, known as ``The Southern Pearl`` - ``La Perla del Sur``, has a privileged position on the banks of the Paraná River. It is well known for its famous Carnival, and its coastal avenue. The Encarnación sambadrome (492.126 yards) is the fourth in the world, after Rio de Janeiro (601.487 yards) and Sao Paulo (579.615 yards) and Gualeguaychu (546.807 yards). The city features an important growth in its hotel infrastructure and meeting rooms, with the opening of first-class hotels and meeting rooms for between 20 and 600 delegates. Encarnación also has excellent restaurants, and a varied nightlife between walks along its waterfront shared with the neighbouring Argentine province of Posadas, pubs and casinos. And while these ancient wonders are entirely worthwhile, there are a number of exciting other attractions on offer to keep travelers amused as well.
