Located in Southern Zambia, Livingstone is home to an impressive selection of attractions and experiences. The small town stands as an entry point to Victoria Falls as well as to the surrounding Zambezi region. The history and culture are rich as is evidenced by the number of museums, the art and craft producers, the architecture, and the native food and way of life in the town. Believe it or not, Livingstone even had the distinction of having the country’s first newspaper. The capital was moved to Lusaka in 1935 and the bustling city has become a quiet town but retains a special charm. As a matter of fact, a major event in 2011 was the installation of the town’s first set of traffic lights.
